Recipes I’m loving right now, December edition.
I’m lucky that I get to spend a lot of time with recipes for my job (editing, collecting, promoting, testing and occasionally writing). Add to that hours spent on sites like Pinterest, Tasting Table and the cool new Punchfork, and my must-try list is an eternally long one. This month has been full of occasions to try new dishes and spread the love.
Gingerbread and Lemon Curd Trifle with Blackberry Sauce - I know you might not think of Bobby Flay when looking for dessert recipes, but trust me on this. It’s a showstopper.
Mini Blue Cheese Balls with Apricots - I’m not a fan of all things mini, but it’s hard to argue with individual cheese balls.
Chocolate-Filled Mexican Wedding Cookies - A twist on the classic with a chocolate chip surprise in the center, a pinch of cinnamon spice, rolled in powdered sugar and cocoa powder.
Mozarella Skewers with Grapefruit and Mint - Caprese skewers are everywhere this time of year (red and green!) and nothing makes me sadder than tomatoes in December. So I love this seasonal alternative from Tim at Lottie + Doof.
Gingerbread Cookies with Brie and Cranberry - I made these for Rachelle’s annual cookie party - it’s a great savory-sweet combo.
Dulce de Leche, Bacon, Coconut, Chocolate Magic Bars - Rachelle’s cookie party recipe and one that I can’t wait to make myself.
Broccoli with Garlic and White Wine - Because I’ve been working through a copy of Molto Italiano that someone passed along to me. And because after all those sweets and cheese, it wouldn’t kill you to eat some broccoli.
